General M44 Secondary Employment Employment at Southern Cross Housing carries with it an obligation to act in the public interest. Accordingly, employees must abide by standards of professional behaviour that promote and maintain public confidence and trust in Southern Cross Housing. These standards are set out in Southern Cross Housing’s Code of Conduct. This policy does not aim to unreasonably restrict the capacity of employees to earn other income — particularly lower paid workers; casuals and part-time staff, but to ensure that staff performance is not likely to be impacted and conflicts of interest are managed. 14/09/2023

General M46 COVID 19 Southern Cross Housing (SCH) recognises COVID-19 creates health and safety risks in the workplace.
Vaccination is a measure that may reduce risks associated with COVID-19 in the workplace. This policy sets out SCH’s approach to COVID-19 vaccinations for employees and sits alongside other measures already in place to manage the risks posed by COVID-19, including a Pandemic Action Plan, WHS Manual, WHS Policy. The objectives of this policy are to:

  • ensure we can comply with our occupational health and safety obligations to employees
    and others who enter our workplaces.
  • protect our employees, contractors, visitors, and clients.
  • monitor and reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace.
