ABOUT THE PROGRAM
We know that starting work can sometimes mean that you need to spend money on new clothes, equipment and/or travel costs. To help makes the transition more manageable, Southern Cross Housing’s Start Work Bonus will enable you to effectively freeze your increased rent payments for 26 weeks.
CONDITIONS OF THE SUBSIDY
- The person starting work must be an approved household occupant aged 18 or over.
- The new job starter must also be living in a Social Housing property that is owned or managed by Southern Cross Housing, and
- Have received a government pension, benefit or allowance as the primary source of income for the last 12 months (minimum).
