Influenza, commonly known as the flu, is no laughing matter. It’s a highly contagious illness that can leave you feeling miserable and, in severe cases, lead to hospitalisation. But fear not! There’s a simple and effective way to shield yourself and those around you: get your flu vaccine.
Influenza is no joke. Over 4700 people in NSW were diagnosed with the flu in the last 4 weeks alone. That’s a 16% increase compared to the previous year! Don’t underestimate its impact. Between January 6th and April 14th, NSW hospitals received 480 influenza-like illness admissions. Getting vaccinated can reduce your chances of ending up in the hospital.
