Influenza, commonly known as the flu, is no laughing matter. It’s a highly contagious illness that can leave you feeling miserable and, in severe cases, lead to hospitalisation. But fear not! There’s a simple and effective way to shield yourself and those around you: get your flu vaccine.
Influenza is no joke. Over 4700 people in NSW were diagnosed with the flu in the last 4 weeks alone. That’s a 16% increase compared to the previous year! Don’t underestimate its impact. Between January 6th and April 14th, NSW hospitals received 480 influenza-like illness admissions. Getting vaccinated can reduce your chances of ending up in the hospital.
Free Clinics: Southern Cross Housing, in partnership with NSW Health and Care South, is hosting two free flu vaccination clinics. These clinics are open to all residents of Southern Cross Housing properties and other vulnerable community members. Here are the details:
