Southern Cross Building and Construction is a registered division undertaking building and construction services. As a Licenced Builder, Southern Cross Housing is the head contractor on select building projects to deliver housing for Social, Affordable, and Private Market development projects.
Predominantly a social enterprise business, it provides a vehicle for the creation of employment and formal training opportunities for Social Housing residents and disadvantaged youth. Trainees and apprentices are mentored by every sub-trade on the job to provide exposure to all facets of the construction process. Often trainees and apprentices are offered permanent jobs with the sub-contractors or with Southern Cross Housing.
